Ive been working on a few bentshaft kayak paddles over the last few weeks. These are always a real challenge. Each step requires all of my focus and attention.
Instead of using a router to roundover the grips I use spokeshaves to make and ergonomic shape. My favorite tool in this photo is the electric pencil sharpener.
The stick Kenny made for me has been trusted on first descents including the Roaring River run at high water in which he also safety boated for us. Kenny spends days on a single paddle, he should be charging way more than he ever will.
Kenny- i just spoke w/ Luke (Next Adventure). i'd like to have you make a bent shaft kayaking paddle. i use an IK, so i'd need to be 220 in length. let me know if you're into it. thanks Paul
